Geoff Welch is a husband, father, and accidental entrepreneur who is determined to help people reject the status quo, do their very best work, and build lives that matter.
The co-owner of Date-Line Digital Printing in Fairbanks, Alaska, Geoff uses his business as a platform from which to take care of people and enrich his community, a pursuit which has attracted a bit of attention. Date-Line was named the Business of the Year by the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce in 2013 and was recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as one of 100 Blue Ribbon Businesses in America in 2014. Geoff was named as one of Alaska’s Top 40 Under 40 by the Alaska Journal of Commerce in 2015.
In 2012 Geoff dreamed up Date-Line’s Thanks Fairbanks project which gives thousands of free thank you cards to residents of his home town each year. The project gave away more than 14,000 free thank you cards in it’s first 2 years, and was the topic of Geoff’s talk at TEDxAnchorage in 2014.
Geoff shares his irreverent perspectives on life, work, and taking care of people through his internet website This Tiny Empire, and is routinely asked to share these ideas with a variety of audiences in and around Fairbanks, and occasionally in somewhat larger cities like Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
Geoff and his wife Nicole are responsible for raising a small human named Madeline, a task they are undertaking without the aid of formal training.
